I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again.

Another masterpiece! Since I only discovered Rolo Tomassi this year, I have the privilege of working my way through their back catalogue, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. The closing track "All That Has Gone Before" gets me every time!
